DRAWINGS
Although most of my pieces end up being paintings, I actually draw the most often. I love using drawing pens and markers to create small and simple illustrations. They don't often make for very big 'pieces' that I would put in a gallery, but I love making them for myself and fans on Instagram or Tumblr. I've only recently started to make more complex drawings, as seen here.
MY KITCHEN - pt 1
2018
graphite pencil on paper, 8.3 x 11.7 in
This work was initially started as an experiment, as I had never practiced two-point perspective before. However with the amount of time and research I put into it, I considered it a piece once it was finished. This piece shows one half of the kitchen, fully rendered in graphite

MY KITCHEN - pt 2
2018
drawing pen on paper, 8.3 x 11.7 in
The other half of the kitchen, this time focusing on the contour. I wanted to complete the pieces in two styles to show different ways of capturing distance and volume. Green pencil was used for the construction lines, which was not visible after being scanned.
HALLOWEEN DECORATION
2018
charcoal pencil on paper, 8.3 x 11.7 in
Two things I love: Rats and Halloween! I bought this toy around Halloween and kept it in my room as a decoration. On Christmas, I was given charcoal pencils, a media I’ve never played with before. I decided to do a life drawing of this toy under my desk lamp as a first attempt. The most difficult thing about this piece was I knew what a real rat skelleton should look like, so I had to stop myself from ‘correcting’ the image, and draw what I actually saw

KEYBOARD
2018
drawing pen and marker on paper, 8.3 x 11.7 in
Playing piano is a hobby I indulge in for relaxation and peace of mind. My keyboard is situated in a small hallway under a window. The way the light hits it is always captivating to me, and I wanted to capture it in this illustration. I used pen and kept it relatively simple as I wanted the strong lighting to be the focus
DYSPHORIA - SELF PORTRAIT
2017
drawing pen on paper, 8.3 x 11.7 in
I completed this drawing for Transgender Day of Visibility, to post on my blog. It’s also one of my first emotional pieces. I usually draw or paint to capture beauty or express positive emotions, I rarely use it as a form of expressing sadness or anxiety. So this piece is particularly important to me.

NATIONAL PUPPY DAY
2016
photoshop, 4000 x 4000 px
I drew this cartoon to post on my blog for National Puppy Day. The cartoons are some of the dogs I’ve met in my life. Although I do complex studies and experiment in a lot of mediums, my favourite thing to draw is cartoons and comics, often in Photoshop. I wanted to include at least one example in this portfolio!
